Getting KiwiHarvest back on the road

Posted on 24 Nov 2017

Frucor Suntory helped KiwiHarvest get on the road again after thieves damaged the food rescue organisation’s delivery vans earlier this week.

The break in couldn’t have happened at a worse time for KiwiHarvest as perishable donated food – including five pallets of cream cheese – was stuck in their freezer with no way of getting it to charities.

However, thanks to the swift thinking and action of a few Frucor Suntorians, a refrigerated van was sourced from a franchisee…and KiwiHarvest was back up and running the following day.

KiwiHarvest manager Maria Madill was grateful for the support.

Thank you team. It’s amazing to have your support to get us back up and running. This little chiller baby has already rescued yoghurt, cream cheese and soup this afternoon. Love you team Frucor”
